Dolmans Landscaping Group has more than 900 employees across 12 locations, but no in-house recruiter for its field roles. What started as a pilot for one foreman role in Haaren grew into a partnership across several field and project roles.

Experienced craftsmen who don't come in on their own

Recruitment fell between HR and marketing and got too little priority. Junior groundskeepers applied, but experienced foremen did not, and earlier campaigns and the own careers site brought too little relevant interest in a region where these people are scarce.

A careerpage per role and a campaign that filters upfront

Two weeks after signing, a careerpage in the Dolmans house style was live and the first applicants came in. Meta campaigns ran around each location, with a lead form that lets candidates without the right experience or driving licence drop out before applying. A LinkedIn agent approached selected profiles from the HR manager's own account, and the role was split into a senior and a junior foreman track to widen the pool.

From one pilot role to several positions

After the pilot, Dolmans added a project leader in Bunde and a junior foreman. Within two weeks of launch, the project leader campaign produced candidates who went straight on to first interviews.
